GABRIEL (GABBY) BYRNE with his daughter CLARE after his winning swim in the Dun Laoghaire Harbour Race

The day started with good weather and then erupted in to a frenzy of congratulations and smiles before the heavens opened and downpours of rain couldn’t halt the celebrations as Gabriel (Gabby) Byrne and the TEMPLEOGUE Masters Swimmers celebrated his superb finish for the WINNERS award at the Leinster OPEN SEA Dun Laoghaire Harbour Race, one of the much sought after races in the annual calendar.

Gabby, produced a superb finish in a tight race to win with some 2 seconds only to spare over his nearest rival (Actual results HERE)

The Other men on the TEAM also finished in tough conditions as they head towards some of the final races of the season Keith Fay was 31st, Noel Browne 57th, Pat O’Driscoll 70th, Tom Matthews 89th with Paul Dawson & William Mullen battling hard in tough conditions also.

Well done to the Lads on a great season and best of luck for the remainder of their time int he SEA this Summer!!.
