NAC Success for TEAM TSC – Experience & Experienced have a great day!
The NAC in Blanchardstown was again the venue for a great day of racing as TEAM TSC turned out again in depth as a superb mix of athletes from the TEAM raced Long Course today in the NAC Swim Club Long Course Competition. The TEAM TSC crew of 27 saw athletes from our very youngest team members to some of our Senior National Medalists compete on the same stage.
The Photo above sees Young Athletes Dean Kiernan (8), Oscar Zhu (9) & Louis Ye (9) look poised and ready to gain some superb PB’s in their first Long Course swim competition.
This young group was also joined by other squad members Luke De Lacey (13), in his first ever swim meet delivering some superb PB’s, while his brother Evan De Lacey (11) also delivered some great PB’s. Keeping it in the family brothers Dean (8) and Alex (9) Kiernan all smashed PB’s and got some great racing experience while siblings Mia Randles (8) and Oscar (9) Randles also proved to get some great experience at the event with Oscar tackling a Long Course 100BF for his target for the day. David Corcoran (9) also set about putting some fine swims together as he too took big PB’s in his events. Coaches had a laugh too as Pawel Koziarski, Paul Conlon & Peter Sherry all watched these young athletes race for the day.
The above young athletes were joined by team mates Mia Whelan O’Connor (9), Aoife Lyons (11) & Ella McNair (9) in the morning session and produced some great swims to post Long course best times and get some great racing experience while in the afternoon session Laura Gleeson (11), Lauren Woulfe (12) & Arianne Courtney (11), Ellen Griffin (13) joined the squads activities to continue the trend in improvement. Athletes Anna O’Driscoll (11), Elsa Brady (9) & Aine Goulding (10) spent the day at the event and smashed PB’s in both AM & PM sessions across multiple events.
Throughout the Day the younger team members watched as Senior Athlete Niamh Murphy (20) produced some great racing efforts to get her hand on the wall in her events for medal winning swims and some tough racing. Murphy was joined in the morning by athletes fresh from their success at the Leinster Age group Championships as Jessica Burke (14) & Caoilfhinn Tan (14) swam some good races to finish in strong times while Finn O’Keeffe (13), Joe Kenny (12) & Greg Sinnott (14) did likewise after a tough week of training. Other athletes who had also celebrated some great PB’s at the Leinster Age Groups last weekend were also in further action as Megan Culbert (13) & Ronan Tan (11) raced both morning and afternoon sessions to gain further Long course racing exposure as they too, posted some great swims.
