SUPER Relay to finish Day 2 for TEAM TSC @ Leinster LC Championships
You had to wait till the end of Finals tonight to see a superb day’s racing capped off with a fantastic set of relays in the Mens and Womens 800FTR, where Graham Field led the younger boys of Sam Cosgrove, Cathal Tan & Tom Giblin to a valiant 5th place effort in their event.
The girls pictured here however, led by Niamh Murphy delivered a fantastic 3rd place swim, where Caoilfhinn Tan, Jessica Burke & Rebecca Burke, combined some great swims with Murphy’s to get on the podium.
All in all, the day saw some great swims across the squad of 20 athletes, who raced today. Finals tonight were well populated with TEAM TSC swimmers.
The night led off with Jessica Burke (12) swimming a massive PB in the 400IM followed quickly by strong PB’s from Cathal Tan (14) in 100BC ‘B’ Final, while Rebecca Burke (14) and Caoilfhinn Tan (13), both delivered PB’s also in their ‘B’ Final in the same event.
Cathal Tan and Tom Giblin took to the block again in the 200FC ‘B’ Final after some great morning swims and yet again produced some big improvements in this event. Rebecca Burke also took a step forward in her ‘B’ Final.
Niamh Murphy swam a much improved ‘B’ Final in the womens 100BF to register a new PB, while both Jessica Burke and Cathal Tan finished a tough evenings work in the ‘A’ Finals in the 200BS, finishing in 5th and 6th respectively.
From this mornings heats session, Aisling Field (12), Nicole Walsh (13) & Ellen Walsh (11) swam busy schedules with multiple PB’s, while Muirin Goulding (13) & Aoife Robinson (15) also picked up some great PB’s in their FC & BC events.

After Day 2 of the event, the newly posted Iriah Age Group Division 1 & 2 Qualifying times are clearly visible to the competing individuals.
An additional activity provided by the Club and Leinster was access to some LC training time during heats and finals, which will be further available tomorrow for the Junior Squads in the club.
Last day of competing tomorrow, but the weekend’s results so far, will be capped off with another great days racing tomorrow.
