TEAM TSC – Day 2 @ Dave McCullagh

The David McCullagh Memorial meet Day 2 saw some of the TEAM TSC athletes continue to build some good racing performances in their first LC Meet of the season.  Niamh Murphy led the morning and evening sessions with some strong performances in the Womens 50BF and 200FC, delivering a PB swim of 30.56 in 50BF to finish in 8th, whilst quickly recording a much improved finals time in the 200FC to finish 3rd in the ‘B’ Final in 2:11.60.

In the morning heats Alison O’Driscoll & Ann-Marie Finn delivered strong racing performances in the 200FC whilst Finn then progressed to race the 800FC in the morning session to round off a tough morning racing for her.  In the Mens 200FC John Martin didn’t quite manage to deliver the same result as yesterday’s shorter 100FC swim, but Graham Field continued his PB breaking form with a great swim to take over 1.5 Seconds off his previous best.  In his more favored event the 100BC, Field again delivered a strong PB and repeated his good swim in the ‘B’ Final this evening to finish in 3rd place in the consolation final and taking his total of PB’s to 3 so far for the meet.

Final day of competition tomorrow is a busy one for the team with all athletes in multiple swims for the day.
