After an interesting trip to Glasgow (including some discussions involving airport police) we’re in Glasgow, all settled in the Hotel, had our pre-meet warmup and about to head for dinner.
Real good crew here to race led by Aisling Cooney (ESB) and Lorna Cummins (Sundays Well/Loughborough) both swimming World University Games in the summer and the SWIM IRELAND National youth squad athletes Brendan Hyland (Tallaght/HPC-Dub), Jack Cobain (Portmarnock/HPC-Dub) and Cian Duffy (Galway) for the boys and the girls of Emma Cassidy (Sunday’s Well) and the Templeogue Three of Grace Branagan, Katrin Kychygina and Niamh Bryson.
All athletes race multiple swims over the 4 day meet against the best of Scotland and a host of other athletes from the UK and Europe as we all look to race fast and tough in the run in to Summer meets.
